Director - Simon Holt studied at the Royal College of Music and at the Royal College of Organists in London. From 1988 to 1999 he taught organ, conducted the Bristol Cathedral School Choral Society, Birmingham University Chorus and Orchestra, and gave organ recitals throughout the U.K including those in Westminster Abbey, St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and the Royal Albert Hall. He performed several times on national UK radio and television and toured Europe widely with performances at Notre Dame and Sacré Coeur in Paris and St. Mark’s in Venice.
In May 1999 Simon and his family moved to the US where he serves as Director of Music at Calvary Church in Stonington, CT, Founding Director of the Calvary Music School, Founding Director of the Stonington Choral Society and Artistic Director of the Salt Marsh Opera Company. In September 2006, Simon became the Director of Music in School at the renowned St. Thomas Choir School in New York City.

Organist
- Andrew Howell received
his Bachelor of Music in Music Education, magna cum laude,
in May 2005 from the University of Rhode Island and is the
first graduate of the Master of Music program in Choral Conducting
Performance at URI. He is also specializing in Organ Performance,
which he studies with George Kent. Andrew is organist and
choir director at St. James Episcopal Church in New London,
Connecticut and Director of the Stonington Choral Society.
He also works as a harpsichord technician at Zuckermann Harpsichords
in Stonington, CT.
Andrew has been singing in the Chorus of Westerly since 1995
and is now serving his first term as a member of their Board
of Directors. He has played organ recitals at churches in
Rhode Island and Connecticut and St. Patrick’s Cathedral
in Dublin, Ireland. Andrew sang with The Anglican Singers
during the 2006-2007 season and has directed rehearsals at
numerous local choral groups.
Founding Director - Marianna Wilcox earned her undergraduate
degree in organ from Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas, and
went on to graduate study at the Hartt College of Music. She
has served on the Music Commission of the Episcopal Diocese
of Connecticut and is past dean of the New London County Chapter
of the American Guild of Organists. Prior to founding The
Anglican Singers, she was Organist and Choirmaster at Calvary
Episcopal Church in Stonington, CT. Marianna served as the
group's Director for ten years from 1997 until 2007. |
